Melody Bounce Tools

Video tools that never upload your files

Everything happens in your browser, on your own computer. That makes it private, it means there is no size limit or queue, and big files finish faster than they would upload.

Why nothing gets uploaded

Most online converters send your video to their servers, process it there, and send it back. That costs them money, so they cap file sizes, make you wait in a queue or add a watermark. These tools use the video encoder already built into your browser (the WebCodecs API) to do the work on your own machine. Your file never leaves it, and a 2 GB video is no problem as long as your computer has the memory for it.

What you need

A recent version of Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox on a computer or a phone. Desktop Chrome and Edge are the fastest because they use the graphics chip to encode. Keep the tab open while a file is processing.

Questions

Are these tools really free?

Yes. No account, no limits and no watermark. Ads on the site pay for it.

Can you see my videos?

No. Files are read and processed inside your browser tab and are never sent anywhere.

Which formats work?

MP4, MOV, WebM and MKV files with the common codecs (H.264, H.265/HEVC where your browser supports it, VP8, VP9, AV1, AAC, Opus, MP3). Results are saved as MP4, or WebM in browsers that cannot create MP4.

Why is my phone slower than my laptop?

Video encoding is heavy work, and phones have less power and memory. Short clips are fine on a phone; for long videos a computer is faster.
